Ah, I see, yes if it is high-performance stuff I can see why you'd want a fast low-level language.

Still I can see why some people prefer a slightly slower language that takes some work out of their hands. I guess it is a matter of what you need and prefer.

I would not want to do tedious low-level work for a job. However when I am bored, I will try to figure out how old stuff works at a very low-level. Go figure. :-)
