Hmm, this works on my setup

Bit it make the links as 'c:\www\image.jpg'

I did a quick test on my site, and it generates links that look like 'html/directory/public_html/image.jpg' (not the full path).

I was thinking it could generate something like, 'http://www.thecodepost.com/image.jpg' when running of the site, and http://localhost/image.jpg when running off my laptop (like it looks in my browser).

Maybe I'm confusing myself. if I need to shut up, just tell me. ;)
