Sorry to hear it, Plasma. I never heard of a broken CPU working - guess your lucky for that. I've had some horror stories with dropped HD's. Very surprising that yours weren't damaged at all - really lucky there. A testiment to improved HD construction these days.
I once droped a synth that had a built-in IBM floppy drive (for saving midi sequences). It's a Korg O1W-FD. It fell down the orchestra pit - (the kind that rise up 30 feet to meet the stage) - all the way down to the bottom, bouncing on ledges and such. To my surprise that floppy is still working to this day. Had to get some keys replaced. It was in a soft-shell gig bag tho, but still... what a fall.
