My Barton 2800+ is now an XP-M 2600+ :(
My CPU got damaged a couple weeks ago (long story, basically my computer got the equivalent of being dropped down a flight of stairs) and now only half the cache is functional.
At first I thought it was a BIOS problem, but it's definitely something wrong with the CPU. However, it seems to work fine with only half the cache, just slower. (Passed several hours of burn-in tests.)
So it is possible for CPUs to be damaged and still work, in case anyone was wondering. I'd heard of this before, but never personally experienced it.
On a side note, all three hard drives (2 WD and 1 Seagate) are completely fine, which really surprised me.
