Yeah I meant there was no option to disable the drive in the "hardware profile" in ctrl panel.
I have temporarily got around the problem by modifying the skin so it doesn't include the menu option that seems to access A:\, but I am still interested to see if you have any ideas. Right now, I haven't been able to access the bios, because I don't know what the key is, as it doesn't flash up any bios related text during startup. I will try again however.
