Hey Plasma, I have a little problem and I reckoned you would be the guy to ask.
I have an old 600mhz laptop running windows 98. It doesn't have an onboard floppy drive. That isn't a problem for me, but whenever anything tries to access it, it freezes for a good 20-30 seconds, until it realises A:\ isn't accessible. I know this kind of thing is a common problem, but I have never had a computer that froze anything up for this freakin' long! I am running litestep, so it happens whenever you mouse over one of the menu options for folder access, which gets really old, fast.
Is there anyway of disabling the floppy drive from even trying to be accessed? I deleted it from the hardware profile in system, but lone behold, on next startup it was back already. There is also no option to disable it.
Thanks
