Don't worry about it --
I removed the offending posts, and the missing posts are no big deal, I'm just confused as to where they went.
The scary thing is, very few posts contained anything except pure gibberish -- no filter would've caught these posts. There was no common text (like "[url" or "<a href" or anything like that) that I could have used to filter out anything.
