Kyle Wed Nov 30 2005 at 4:44 pm MP3 box update
I've found a new motherboard with 48MB RAM and a 100MHz Pentium in it. I've also found a SoundBlaster Pro 2 clone which plays MP3s brilliantly through MPX. However XTC-Play doesn't want to work at all for some reason.
I'm going to take a simpler approach than you - no TSRs to control the gameport - I'll use a keyboard controller and this circuit: http://fileanchor.com/11881.gif (I've just spent the last half hour staring at keyboard membranes :P). I'll also use the LCD routines built in to MPX Play, as they seem fine (and if XTC isn't going to work, it's all I need).
No pictures yet - it's just a mess on the floor at the moment as I've yet to find/build a case.
