Anywhere between 1 to 100k lines, I want it to display anything I throw at it. The thing with seek could work as I can easily load 24 lines without troubles (more wouldn't fit on screen anyway).
The thing with seek could work, but please tell me if you can get current file position with some function or do you have manually keep track of it. And if it (in case of text files) measures in characters or lines?
Though probably I'll go and write the tool in turbo pascal, text file handling (and file handling in general) is much better there. Just wanted a second opinion.
