SOLVED!

I found a version of Quick Basic 4.5 that works!!!

"QBasic" does NOT have a compiler.

BUT

"Quick Basic" does have a compiler.

The version of Quick Basic I now have ACTUALLY WORKS ON WINDOWS XP!!!!

YAHHHOO!!!!!
